Concert Master - Chag-Hee Lee

(B.M. The Korean National University of Arts of Music; M.M., Indiana University; DMA, University of Maryland).
Born in Korea, violinist Chag-Hee Lee is currently a DMA candidate at the University of Maryland. She received her musical training at Ye-won School, Seoul Arts High School, and The Korean National University of Arts of Music School, and Indiana University.

She has studied with Nam Yoon Kim, Sung-Joo Lee, and Ik-Hwan Bae and Henryc Kowalski. At the present time she is studying with Dr. Gerald Fischbach, Arnold Steinhardt, and John Dalley, serving as Dr. Gerald Fischbach’s assistant since the fall of 2001.

Ms. Lee has won prizes in the World Press competition in 1992 and in the Choon-Choo music competition in Seoul in 1996. In 1997, She has won in the international competition sponsored by Italia Capralora Music Camp, and performed with Nova Amadeus Italia Chamber Music Orchestra in Italia. In April of 2005, Ms. Lee was chosen as a performance member of FMMC (The Friday Morning Music Club, Inc.).
